"Our agent george has been absolutely phenomenal!!! Not only did he check in along the way, (signatures and app logins ) he walked me through every step in the process by text, call and email! He answered every question I had with patience and if a smile had a voice its him. He even got us life insurance and rental insurance at a lower price, with WAY better coverage than the apt complex we live in (mandates) he answers promptly anytime even at 8 in the morning. "Let's be honest, no one just wakes up thinking, "Wow, I hope I get to talk about insurance today." And yet...here we are! Somehow, Shannon Perren State Farm has cracked the code and made the whole process way less painful than expected. The team is knowledgeable, efficient, and shockingly good at explaining things without making you feel like you need a law degree and three cups of coffee. Jamie, is one of those people that helped! Look, I don't know what kind of secret training she's had, but she handles everything like a customer service ninja she's fast, precise, and somehow still friendly. Question? Answered.. Problems? Gone! Confusion? Eliminated like it never existed. If insurance had boss levels, she'd be the final one.....and you'd lose."

"Account Manager David Haas has single handily thrown my escrow account into disarray. I found an error that he made on my policy. No accountability and says you will get a refund. Told him the week i was closing that my date got pushed. My policy renewal date is incorrect. I sent in documents for corrections but was completely ignored. His favorite communication style is text messages which is poor. Invoiced my mortgage company for an incorrect amount. Updated my policy now I have another balance. I put in to change offices and depending on how that goes I will cancel this policy all together. As a first time homebuyer this on-boarding has been the worst of the whole process. "It happens all the time", "you will get a refund", "we have an old system", "underwriters didn't tell me" Hog wash, then has the nerve to ask me to bundle car insurance before he fixes anything. I will be sure to spread the news of this incompetence. Not even a courtesy phonecall. Truly regret going with state farm. Stay away!"

"After more than 8 years as a multi-policy State Farm customer (including business coverage), my experience with the Shannon Perren office has deteriorated to an unacceptable level, raising serious concerns regarding inaccurate reporting, billing practices, and customer service standards.

My LexisNexis report contains accidents and violations that do not belong to me. I was incorrectly advised this is due to being on a shared policy, despite not being the primary policyholder. This explanation is inconsistent and misleading, particularly given that only selective information from other drivers appears on my record. Additionally, a not-at-fault accident has been duplicated multiple times. State Farm is the only insurer I have used, making the source of this reporting issue clear. No corrective action has been taken despite multiple attempts to resolve it.

Billing practices have been equally concerning. Premiums have fluctuated without clear justification, repeatedly attributed to a “new system,” with no transparency provided. We were advised to continue making payments while discrepancies “even out,” which is not a reasonable or acceptable standard. Upon cancellation, we were informed that only $32 had been paid toward a policy, which is factually incorrect—we paid $208 for one vehicle. To date, no one has been able to provide an accurate breakdown of charges, allocations, or refunds.

The conduct of staff further compounds these issues. Jamie’s communication was unprofessional and dismissive. David explicitly stated that if we were dissatisfied, we should “go elsewhere,” demonstrating a lack of regard for long-term clients. Melissa, who identified herself as the manager, failed to provide any meaningful resolution and relied solely on reading account notes, without the ability to explain billing or refund discrepancies.

The lack of accountability, inaccurate reporting, and inability to provide clear financial explanations are deeply concerning.

Based on this experience, I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering doing business with this office. DO NOT RECOMMEND."

As we recently made this transition to a new billing platform, change has been difficult on everyone but the end result is accurate and we are billing customers what they owe. We hope that now the transition has concluded, we will continue to assist customers with clarity and understanding regarding billing questions and concerns. We do not have any authority over how LexisNexis reports claims at the local office level, but LexisNexis has it’s own department to resolve consumer complaints. If there is any further assistance we could provide, we certainly will as we value your business as a long term customer."

"Me and my family's entire account has been with State Farm for well over 6 years if not more. Our interactions with David have felt more transactional than a genuine relationship that one would like to have. These last few months our insurance has skyrocketed by a minimum of $50 per vehicle and rather than taking ownership and doing what any business owner would do, rectify the problem, he keeps blaming technology and a new system in place. David has not been able to explain how these charges incurred and expects us to just pay for them and "everything will balance out" come our next renewal. David did suggest we go to another provider, so we will do exactly that.
Swapping to AllState and slashing our bill by exactly 42%. So a big thank you, David, for pushing us to a better solution for all parties involved. We truly appreciate you.

MARCH 25 EDIT: The level of professionalism from Jamie and Melissa is subpar to say the least. While we understand we’re not longer clients’ of Shannon Perren’s agency, this agency still has money unaccounted when it comes to issuing refunds. I’m not saying there’s fraud going on, but if you cannot account for the money that is going in and out of the agency then something is falling through the cracks that needs to be addressed asap. I hope Shannon Perren genuinely takes a full review of the staff here if this is the level of professionalism currently employed."

We are going through a new upgraded system transition, but once all of this is completed we would love to earn back your business and be your first choice for your auto and home insurance.
